We are a small, dedicated team of developers and geology enthusiasts (based in Brisbane, Australia!) on a mission to make rock identification something anyone can do.
We built Rock Identification App because every rockhound knows the feeling of picking up an interesting stone and having no idea what it is. Field guides are heavy, search results are hit and miss, and forums take days to answer. Our goal is simple: point your camera at a rock, mineral, crystal or fossil and know what you are holding in seconds — then learn the story behind it.
Since we are in the early stages of our journey, your feedback is our most valuable asset. Whether you've found a bug, have a brilliant idea for a new feature, spotted a rock we identified incorrectly, or just want to tell us about an amazing find — we want to hear it!
